Founder/Owner

Having attended Keeble school in Winchmore Hill and then Bishop Stortford, Nick started his career working for his father in the family furniture business in North London. In the years that followed, Nick gained experience and a passion for the property industry. Subsequently opening the first Statons Estate Agents office on Barnet Hill, High Barnet in 1986, with his sister Loraine. Coincidental in the same colours, the now distinct yellow and black, as the Keeble school colours… Over the years, the business has grown and grown to the highly respected Brand Statons Estate Agents has become in North London and Hertfordshire today. Nick, Loraine and the Statons family (as Nick always referred to the team) strongly believe in supporting the local community, taking great pride in the many local charities, schools and sports clubs they have been lucky enough to be involved with and to have sponsored over the years.

Never too busy to take calls from people looking for his advice on local property, Nick remains committed, passionate and a hands-on member of the Statons Estate Agency team. With many years of local experience, there isn’t much Nick doesn’t know about local property. Often referred to by the media as the ‘Estate agent to the stars’ with an impressive list of stars from the silver screen, TV and sport Nick lists as clients. Nick is also frequently asked to comment on the property market by the national newspapers due to his considerable experience and respected position. I joined Statons nearly 14 years ago as I wanted to work in the finest Estate Agency in Hertfordshire. In that time, I’ve probably worked in every office in the capacity of administrator, keeping everything up to date, from the properties to the window displays and ensuring the smooth running of the business on a day to day basis. I’ve always lived in North West London, so each office location is familiar. I’ve raised my family here and continue to live a busy and active lifestyle, becoming a first time Nana, walking my dog, Millie and embarking on a crystal candle making hobby.

Living In Radlett

Prestigious Area, Popular With Commuters, Fantastic Schools

This small town is blessed with glorious greenbelt countryside and fast train routes to London. There is a wealth of amenities and activities close to hand but it is often the quality of education that is the deciding factor for many looking to make Radlett their home.

Why Is Radlett Popular With Commuters?

Being less than 5 miles from the M25 and M1, as well as providing good access to the A1 trunk road make this a great location for commuters. Radlett train station connects to St. Pancras in under half an hour, and the Thameslink services provide access to Luton, St. Albans, and Kings Cross. Luton Airport is around 17 miles away and Heathrow and Stansted can both be reached in under an hour.

There are many schools within a 5-mile radius of Radlett. Popular with local families due to their Ofsted reports and reputation are Hertsmere Jewish Primary, St. John’s Church of England Infant and Nursery School, Newberries Primary and Fair Field Junior School. For private education, we can recommend Haberdashers’ Aske’s boys and girls schools, Edge Grove and Radlett Preparatory.

The Beautiful Landscape

With around 175 acres of woodland and surrounding picturesque villages, there are plenty of places to walk and explore. The town as it stands today was created at the end of the 19th century. In 1948 the Summer Olympics was held in London and the marathon raced through Hertfordshire, including Radlett.

Only a couple of miles away is Aldenham Country Park: 100 acres of beautiful countryside. With lakeside walks, a farm, adventure playground and even the 100-Acre Wood, home of Winnie the Pooh and friends, there is plenty for all the family to enjoy. Why not take a walk or run around the Aldenham Reservoir and nature trail – perfect to get away from the daily pressures.
