The area is known for the stunning Trent Country Park, once a hunting ground for Henry VIII; you can roam the forests and wooded gorges whilst keeping an eye out for the wealth of protected wildlife living there. Another landscape to discover is Hadley Wood Golf Club, which was designed by Alister MacKenzie in 1922, who, ten years later, went on to be responsible for Augusta, home to the US Masters.
